Hey guys, sorry for the lack of updates...I'll try to get better, I promise! 
There's a bunch of different pieces of news, so I'll update by date. Again, I'm so sorry for being slow at this, forgive me! 
June 21, 2012 - GACKT TO STAR IN LIVE ACTION SENGOKU BASARA; GACKT has landed himself a role in the new live action television show, Sengoku Basara! Sengoku Basara is based off of CAPCOM's historical action game franchise. GACKT's role in this new show is Oda Nobunaga.
Blog post from OGYD; CAPCOM's historical action game franchise Sengoku Basara is inspiring its first live-action television show next month, and actor/singer GACKT (Fûrin Kazan, New Fist of the North Star, Tono to Issho, Shiki) will star in it as Oda Nobunaga (pictured far right). Sengoku Basara -Moonlight Party- will also star Kento Hayashi (Arakawa Under the Bridge) as Date Masamune (center) and Kōhei Takeda (Hana Zakari no Kimi-tachi e: Ikemen Paradise, Kamen Rider Kiva) as Sanada Yukimura (left). (Historical Japanese names are listed family name first, while modern names are listed family name last.)
GACKT will contribute the ending theme song "Hakuro."
The show will premiere on July 12 on MBS, and it will run every Thursday night at 1:25 a.m. (effectively early Friday morning).

June 21, 2012 - GACKT DATING RUMOR; Recently, there's been rumors circulating about GACKT going on a date and having a relationship with Korean singer, ICONIQ (Ayumi Itō) since last summer. For those of you who do not know who ICONIQ is, she was born and raised in Japan until she was 15, then she moved to South Korea. ICONIQ used to sing in a Korean girl group known as Sugar. I don't know much more about her, but I think she has gone solo. You can read more about her here if you're interested

According to the magazine, GACKT (age 39) has been dating ICONIQ (age 27) since last summer.

June 28, 2012 - MOON SAGA PRESS CON + ICONIQ; There was a press conference held for GACKT's stage play, MOON SAGA to introduce the cast and to promote the play. During the press conference GACKT was asked about his rumored relationship with Korean singer, ICONIQ. His response to this question was "Well, regarding dating, we haven't really talked about that, so I'll ask her about that in bed next time." Some brief notes from the press conference (please forgive any mistakes...) -
Setsugekka is the main theme for the play.
Although it's based in history, GACKT wants to deliver a stage nobody has seen before.
He wants people to be moved and cry (as always).
The fighting scenes sound intense, both for the women (see the photo) and for Saotome Taichi. There are a large number of women in the play and GACKT feels that is one of the main attractions.
Nemuri Kyoshiro actors Kodo Taya (GACKT's ex-dancer) and Furumoto Shinosuke also have roles in MOON SAGA. The full cast can be seen here.
GACKT was asked about his relationship with ICONIQ and replied - "Well, regarding dating, we haven't really talked about that, so I'll ask her about that in bed next time." Credit to excused_early

July 10, 2012 - ICONIQ CONFIRMS RELATIONSHIP WITH GACKT?; The rumor about GACKT and ICONIQ is heating up. Recently, the 27-year-old former Sugar member has appeared in a press conference as an ambassador of the event Salon Model Award Japan 2012. She was asked if GACKT had asked her "that certain question" (read June 28, 2012 section for that info). Her reply to this was "Yeees, I'll let you guess the answer, but I like him very much."

July 12, 2012 - MOON SAGA COMMERCIAL; As many of you may (or may not) know, GACKT has written a stage play called MOON SAGA. It is a continuation of his previous CD, Moon and his movie Moon Child (2003 - also starring Hyde).

MOON SAGA is now in Nagoya and the first show finished earlier with no problems (other than no air conditioning for the training, according to Taya).
GACKT has been helpful and decided what Olympic event he wants to try out for next time...
(I'm becoming increasingly convinced that someone on his staff stalks this community)
GACKT tweeted a couple of days ago and confirmed that he was filming a PV for 白露-HAKURO-
Both Chacha and YOU blogged shortly afterwards with photos of themselves in make up, and Chacha stated that he'd been filming.
2 + 2 = ....?
As well as tweeting, GACKT also sneaked back onto Twitter and updated his background. Previously it was a photo of him with Josh Hartnett from the TIFF premier of BUNRAKU, but he decided to swap out Josh for a (in his eyes) prettier model.
(Well, it was either this exact shot or one very similar. The joke remains the same though - he used a Jessica Alba photo as his Twitter background. Fanboy!!!)
That didn't last long though, and his current background is this flashier, and sexier photo.
The JACK DANIELS x GACKT event was on Monday and Jack Daniels have been updating their Facebook today with photos from the event. So far, the bartender is missing from the photos, but the JD staff who maintain the page have said that GACKT photos are coming, we just need to wait a little longer.
There should also be an announcement about the next promotion he is doing for them soon - this consists of collaboration goods (of course) and a private dinner between GACKT and 20 lucky people.
And finally, u:zo tweeted this lovely photo of Jon earlier. Aw. Hands up who misses the Chickenz?

August 6, 2012 - GACKT X JACK DANIEL PHOTOS Finally the GACKT x Jack Daniels photos have surfaced! I'm only posting one here, but feel free to view the other photos in the OGYD blog post. Trust me, you'll want to! ^_~
OGYD blog post Out of the 300 people in attendance (200 of these were the DEARS who won tickets and their partners) a lucky 20 were chosen by lottery to be served a drink by bartender GACKT.
During a short MC, GACKT said that he will continue to support the Jack Daniels Japan Facebook page, and called on everyone to aid him in doing so.

I'm very sorry it's been a super long time since I've updated anything. I'm going to try to be a lot more active with this blog, and this group, and our Twitter.
Not to go into a lot of boring detail, but last year was a huge time of changes for me. I moved out of my house I'd lived in for 16 1/2 years into an apartment, and I'm now taking care of my mom, who's disabled. I also quit a job I detested after being there for 11 years, and found a great one. But all this took place in about a month last summer, and since then I've been struggling a lot with my anxiety and depression that's plagued me for many years, while trying to be

The biggest news, for me, at least, is the official TeamGACKT Twitter is now up and running! Follow us here: https://twitter.com/TeamGACKT . New GACKT app for your phone!
GACKT has a new app! It's called P.S. I LOVE U GACKT, and it's basically a role playing game where you are the star in a love story opposite GACKT. Along the way, as you read, you will have choices to make that will affect his feelings towards you and where the story progresses. Also, you can earn story cards, a special audio card at the end of each story, and collect photo cards.
It's free to play but the stories progress on a ticket system. You earn one a day simply for signing in, and then you can also buy more. So far there are two stories, "Eternal Affection" where G is a doctor...and "Your Song" where he is a young indie singer in a ba
